Page Redesign
Error page optimized for user experience
Encountering an error page can be a frustrating experience for users. To improve the user experience, I designed the PRSA error (404) page to include a form that users can fill out to request information. Support agents will then reach out to the user with relevant information.
I also implemented a 404 collection tool that tracks URLs that are mapped to error pages. The team can then redirect these broken URLs to relevant content or use the search queries to gather insights into the type of content that users are interested in and incorporate this into the editorial (e.g. articles, webinars) content strategy.
For example, when we redesigned the website, we removed many historical case studies. However, we received a lot of requests for case studies from academic partners through the 404 page request form. Marketing was alerted to this and we saw an opportunity to design a repository for case studies. These case studies were then added back to the site and marketed as a member benefit.
